Meet Ra’Niah
In Their Own Words
Hi, my name is Ra’ Niah, and my goals are to feel more confident when I smile, to improve my dental health, and to continue growing into the best version of myself. I want to do well in school, keep learning new things, and become someone who inspires others by the way I carry myself with pride & purpose.
Having braces would dramatically change my life. Receiving braces will help fix my overlapping teeth and make me feel more comfortable when I talk, eat, or smile. I won’t have to feel shy or embarrassed about my teeth anymore. It will give me the confidence to speak up in class, try out for things like school plays or clubs, and show up fully as myself without holding back.
How do I hope to pay the blessing of braces forward in the future? I hope to pay this blessing forward by encouraging others who might feel insecure about their smile or appearance. I want to let them know that transformation is possible and they are worth investing in. One day, I also want to give back to programs or people who help kids like me get the care they need so they can feel proud of their smile, too.
